Phoenix, Arizona — Phoenix-based hotel cleaning supplier HD Supply Inc. has a plan to make hotel cleaning products available to the public via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
The company is working on its first social media campaign, which will start in the first quarter of 2019, and is currently in talks with several major hotel chains.
“We are hoping to leverage the power of social media to build relationships with our customers and make them aware of our efforts,” HD Supply CEO and co-founder Joe Friel told ESPN.
HD Supply is partnering with a number of large companies, including Hilton, Marriott, The Pointe and the Marriott International.
The company has partnered with hotels that have large cleaning facilities and has plans to build out its reach to other large hotels as well.
As far as social media marketing goes, it’s not as big as the typical brand, but it is still something to watch out for, Friel said.
“I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen the word ‘promotional’ and I’ve been like, ‘What is that?
This isn’t marketing.
It’s just marketing,'” he said.
He added that it’s important to focus on what you’re trying to do in social media, rather than what the company is actually doing, because it’s often hard to measure what the product actually does, which can be a big hurdle when you’re marketing to a large group of people.
You can also find HD Supply on Instagram and Twitter, where they have been using hashtags to help get the word out about the campaign.
