A hotel supply company in Thailand is under scrutiny after being accused of using illegal tactics to boost the stock of its hotels.
Taw Hai Hotels has been accused of “showing off” the strength of its hotel brands to boost sales of its own brands, including Taw Hai.
The company has been in the spotlight for some time due to allegations that it illegally used its hotel brand to boost hotel prices in Thailand.
Its brand, Tawai, was once used to promote the hotels in the country.
Tata Group has denied that its brands were used to boost their own hotels.
In a statement on its website, the hotel company said that the accusations are “ridiculous” and that “the allegations have been widely circulated online” in Thailand, according to The New York Times.
Tas hotel supply chains, which are used to sell goods to hotels, are under scrutiny for their use of the brand of the hotel that is listed in the hotel inventory.
Taws suppliers have been accused in the past of abusing the brand, using the brand in their own hotel products.
Last year, one supplier was accused of selling its hotel stock to Taws hotels.
